In response to the demand for ICT Professionals in Tasmania, join us to hear about the State Government’s Skilled Migration State Nomination Program, ACS’ role in helping graduates bridge the gap between study and professional employment, and the benefits multicultural perspectives can bring to the workplace. Our speakers include:

• Siobhan Casey, Director for Migration Services, ACS will provide an overview of visa assessments, technical skills validation process and the Global Talent Independent (GTI) Program nominations.

• Betsy Gregg, Education Operations Manager, ACS will detail the ACS’ Professional Year program which gives international ICT graduates from Australian tertiary providers the practical job skills and training needed to enhance their career prospects.

• Martin Andrews, Manager – Migration Tasmania, Department of State Growth will provide an overview of the Tasmanian Government’s Skilled Migration State Nomination Program and the opportunities for Tasmanian employers, visa conditions and requirements, and help available to connect to skills or navigate the visa system.

• Graham Walker, Practice Leader – AI and Smarter Payments ISW will speak about their experience in recruiting global talent and the benefits of a diverse workforce.

The forum will be facilitated by Louise Mills, Chair, Australian Computer Society (Tas) and will include Q&A.

There will be an opportunity for networking and light refreshments will be provided.
